SLAVERY OF WORDS

Ganga OR Ganges , Dnyaneshwar OR Gyaneshwar , Verul OR Ellora , Ajintha OR Ajanta .

                     These names are corrupted by some people who were not competent enough to learn foreign language once conquered natives; they actively discouraged locals by mispronouncing names.

 Pronounciation can be corrected by learning.  The way Indians try hard to learn French , English or any other language and flaunt it in front of fellow Indians to show their affinity towards their rulers whose language is dominant now is saddening. Unfortunately it is encouraged in books , magazines and newspapers. Who is to blame for it? Journalists, writers, linguists who are learned and know best of the both worlds ? Media has a deep impact on minds and written words lasts more than an empire. Britishers are gone but the slavery is encouraged through the corrupted words.

International trade and cultural exchanges were happening since the Roman empire time. So we cannot say corrupting name is an easy way to make our reach to the world. Even Google made is easier to translate or learn the correct way of pronounciation. 

The way words are uttered have significance in life, music and science. And one can't reject the age old name of a heritage to be corrpupted just like that in 200 years. 

Surely I have hope that fellow countrymen will definitely revive the heritage of words and pronounciation because that is also a living proof of our history and shouldn't be corrupted. 

Just the way Europeans are proud of their language, culture and their history. Then how can they distort names unchanged since last 5000 years. 

 We humans must cherish diversity of the earth rather than just try to fit it in a convenient mould of a western attitude. Language and words also part of the diversity. Let's not try make everything to be easy for the sake of it. 

Digital vs. film

A prolonged fight to satisfy egos. Purist says film is always better than digital. Reason is the quality, tones, mastery on the craft. It is true. Then why don’t we walk to reach our office. It is always better option than driving a car. It gives good health and reduces pollution.

Any Tom, Dick & Harry is clicking and increasing the e- garbage. Quality and thought is gone to the dogs.

Oh yes! Then why don’t we turn to painting. It is much thought over work. And every single bit is created not clicked.

                    Digital is finished the divide between the click and printing time. Even you can see the output before you click due to live view. Anyone one can show his / her art. Artist is not a person who only follows lifelong artistic pursuit. It is hidden in everyone.

We have started with a single breath, dance, sing, draw line, colour wall, canvas, photograph, film to screens. A matter of comfort and reaching to the masses. A creation of surroundings and fantasy through ideas and various mediums.  Chaos and experiments continues. So the debate.

Elitists will always defend themselves in their favor. But the world is full of normal people. Who do what they love or like.  

ART & OFFENCE

Whatever new idea takes place it is criticized or rejected by the masses. A few people embrace it ; slowly it is  followed by the established order and then in masses it becomes fashion to have it , practice it or follow it.

For the sake of self interest of stronger anything can become in vogue or too offensive. It is not just an Art for Art's sake. Public has to accept it or face the consequences.

Whatever rebelliousness s just the fashion of established order for their entertainment and it can be well justified by them. It may be Latin , Sanskrit, Rome, Delhi, Washington .... Whomsoever is shining people tend to follow it instead having own eyes open. Everything under the sun has it's unique charm and way of life. Art is also the same. Unique and different in it's way. But now a days we are becoming uniform in the name of fashion and trends (media).  Some body ahs done it then we have to do it that way.

A man or a woman following their idea may be offensive for the public eye. I see this in daily routine. People who are close are easy to criticise your vision in the name of caring for you. No way society is going to accept it now but you feel the need to understood by your circle. Paying the price gives you satisfaction.
Everyone push their agenda instead of being just happy or enjoy nature as it is. ISM's are bad when they become rigid & preachy. No GOD comes down and teaches you it's the mediator with agenda destroys the
inner artistic and playful nature of yours.

As a human I am always attatched to the visuals. It maybe a painting,photograph,newspaper,television or computer screen. Everything which shows something enchanted me.
Everyone has something unique than the other. I perceive the world with my visual power.I can find a small detail into the deep green forest or a beautiful thing into the muddy river also. My eyes are always search for something or the other. They are restless. But on the other side they soothes my mind when see a vast expanse of sea or lake or jungle.

As a photographer I always try to explore the peace within and out. The peace revolves around you all the time. The jungle is within. My photography taught me. A journey of the world ended within me. Photography taught me the art of life. Forms of life imprinted everywhere. If you are sensitive enough everything becomes meaningful.

One day I realised that every photograph taken a second ago become past a memory. After long time this graphical representation of past remains a distant memory to you or the society. It is a two dimensional representation of certain time. That's why it is a PAST O GRAPH.
